I find it interesting that the Syria crisis seems to have gone less "viral" than the Libya crisis despite being very similar. Both countries are/were ruled by an oppressive dictator who kills innocent civilians using military force. I would even say the Syria crisis is even more outrageous due to Russian and Chinese decision to not take action against the humanitarian crisis occurring under the Assad regime. Nevertheless, it seems as though the Libya crisis received more public awareness and media attention than the Syria crisis does now. Therefore, I would find it interesting to investigate why the “virality” of these two very similar crises has been so different?
